
Ousted Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro is appearing in a New York courtroom to face drug and weapons charges. Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, were transferred together to a courthouse in Manhattan. The couple, along with their son and three others, are accused of collaborating with drug cartels to smuggle cocaine into the U.S. If convicted, they face maximum sentences of life in prison.
