Major banks experience online banking outages on payday

Nationwide, First Direct, Lloyds and Halifax have confirmed issues with their online banking systems, which have left many customers without access to funds on payday.

Nationwide said in a message on its website that "some incoming and outgoing payments are delayed at the moment", but "everything else is working normally".
