Major incident declared over sink hole

A major incident has been declared in Surrey after a large sinkhole has opened up, forcing people out of their homes.

The original hole first appeared on Monday night following a burst water pipe on Godstone High Street.

A second has now opened and continues to grow, causing fears the collapse could rupture gas pipes and cause an explosion in the area.
