Man, 76, charged after children fell ill at Leicestershire summer camp | ITV News

A man has been charged after a number of children fell ill at a summer camp in Leicestershire.

John Ruben, 76, of Landmere Lane, Ruddington, Nottingham, has been charged with three counts of wilful ill treatment of a child.

He was originally arrested on suspicion of intentionally poisoning the children at a summer camp in Stathern in Leicestershire.

The charges relate to three different children on Sunday (27 July) that children at a summer camp being held at Stathern Lodge in Canal Lane, Stathern, near Melton, had become unwell.
