A man was arrested after burning an American flag in front of the White House.

Jay Carey, a former combat veteran, says he did it to protest Donald Trump – hours after the president signed an executive order to enforce stricter penalties for flag-burning.

Park police said they arrested the man for illegally lighting a fire in a public park.
