A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a car hit and injured pedestrians in Derby on Saturday night.
Police have confirmed seven people were seriously injured. They were treated at the scene by ambulance crews and taken to Royal Derby Hospital and Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham.
Counter terrorism officers are also now assisting with the investigation.
Police said the car believed to be involved was stopped after the incident in Friar Gate at about 9.30pm.
The driver, a man in his 30s, was arrested and is in police custody.
