Man in court over Liverpool parade crash

Paul Doyle, the man accused of ploughing into crowds at the Liverpool FC victory parade has been remanded in custody after appearing at Liverpool Magistrates’ Court.

The 53-year-old looked emotional, holding back tears. He’s charged with seven offences, including wounding and causing grievous bodily harm, but entered no plea.

He’ll also appear at Liverpool Crown Court later.
