Police have released a man who was detained last night in connection to the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, the mother of US television presenter Susannah Guthrie.

The man, named as Carlos, said he had never heard of 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie, but he hoped she would be found safe.
It came hours after the FBI released surveillance footage showing a masked man outside Ms Guthrie’s home around the time she is thought to have disappeared on Feburary 1st.
