Police have shot dead a man who was reportedly carrying a firearm at a train station.
Officers from Thames Valley Police and British Transport Police were called to Milton Keynes railway station at 12.55pm to reports of a man carrying a firearm.
The force said armed officers challenged the man before shots were fired by police. The man was pronounced dead at 1.44pm after attempts were made to save his life.
Thames Valley Police said there was not believed to be any further risk to the public.
