Maori MPs suspended in New Zealand

Three New Zealand MPs have been suspended from Parliament for between 7 and 21 days, after performing a Maori haka to protest against a proposed law.

A committee described their actions as disruptive and potentially intimidating – but the MPs claimed they were being treated more harshly because they were Maori.
