The MasterChef presenter John Torode has been sacked after an allegation against him of using racist language was upheld.

John Torode says he has no recollection of the alleged incident and "does not believe that it happened".
The show has been mired in crisis with a report yesterday upholding 45 allegations against former presenter Gregg Wallace, mostly relating to inappropriate sexual language and humour.
A series of controversies at the BBC have overshadowed their annual report which came out today.
