‘If you see a thousand people in a battle, there were a thousand people there.’
Matt Damon tells ITV News the filming of The Odyssey was on a scale he had never seen before.
Damon, who stars as Odysseus in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming blockbuster, described the scale as a “gift” as it allowed the actors to be “immersed” in films world, rather than relying CGI.
Nolan’s film is an adaptation of Homer’s ancient Greek epic, which sees Damon’s character, the Greek King of Ithaca, make his perilous 10-year journey home after the Trojan War.
