The First Lady of the United States, Melania Trump, has released a self-titled documentary about her 20 days preceding her husband’s inauguration.
The film, which cost Amazon $40 million, and a further $35 million in marketing, is predicted to be opening to a fraction of that budget, taking in between one and five million dollars this coming weekend.
Melania herself is reported to have pocketed $28 million from the deal.
Social media users in America have shared screenshots of near-empty theatre bookings in major US cities, including Boston’s largest AMC cinema, as well as a so far empty Friday night showing at a Cinemark theatre in Jacksonville, Florida.
