A prosecutor in Los Angeles has recommended the re-sentencing of the Menendez brothers, who were convicted in 1989 for the murder of their parents.
Brothers Lyle and Erik Menendez could be released on parole after spending 34 years in prison.
Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascon recommended that the pair be resentenced – replacing their life sentence with a sentence of 50 years to life.
