The Metropolitan Police has issued an unreserved apology after admitting it failed to protect two female victims in a double domestic homicide.

Last month, 66 year old Carl Cooper was sentenced to life for killing Naomi Hunte and Fiona Holm, 17 months apart.
Both black and vulnerable women had reported Cooper to police for harassment, stalking and violence in the months before they were killed.
Fiona Holm’s family said they were disgusted by police failures and want an independent inquiry into what went wrong.
The force says four officers are under investigation.
