The head of MI5 has warned of a growing array of global threats to the UK that are at a level not seen since the 9/11 attacks on the US.
Sir Ken McCallum said the number of people in the UK under investigation for "state threat activity" had jumped by 35% in the past year compared with the previous 12 months.
He also said a Beijing-instigated plot against the UK was disrupted just in the last week.
