Microplastics found in human brain

Microplastics have been found in the human brain for the first time, a study by Sao Paulo University has revealed. They have previously been found in the lungs, heart and blood – but until now, have not been reported as reaching the brain which is protected by the blood-brain barrier. #microplastics #climate #c4news
