Middle East crisis: Starmer backs coalition attacks on Houthis

Sir Keir Starmer says he supports the government’s decision to launch attacks on Houthi rebels in Yemen.

The Labour leader said action needed to be taken to stop the Iran-backed group attacking Western ships in the Red Sea.

The UK and the US launched missile strikes overnight following several days of assaults, which included the Iranian navy seizing a US-linked oil tanker in the Gulf of Oman on Thursday.
