Thousands of people have taken to the streets of Tehran and Beirut to mourn two senior members of the militant groups Hamas and Hezbollah, both apparently killed by Israel.
The region is waiting to see what kind of action will be taken against Israel by its enemies in response.
Israel has warned its citizens to exercise extra caution abroad because of what it says is an increased threat from Iran and its proxies.
