Public opinion is firmly against the UK getting more involved in the conflict – just eight percent of voters in a recent YouGov survey said the UK military should join US and Israeli airstrikes against Iran.
Labour believes its current response is broadly in line with public opinion. And the party is now seeking to call out its opponents on the right.
Senior Labour figures have been highlighting what they see as an inconsistent response from Reform UK.
Labour have also pointed out the Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch has been far more supportive of the US decision to bomb Iran.
