Warning: This video contains details of sexual assault, rape and abuse.

Migrants being held in East Libya have told Sky News of the abuse they have suffered at the hands of the smugglers they paid to bring them to Europe.

Sky News has been given unprecedented access to authorities attempting to crack down on the human smuggling trade in Libya.

Many migrants are being held in detention centres in Benghazi after being intercepted on their journey from Africa to Europe.

Sky’s Alex Crawford spoke to some of those being held to hear the stories of why they fled their home countries and of the journeys they have endured.
