A minister has admitted there has been confusion over gender identity rules.
Home Office minister Dame Diana Johnson was pressed on Sir Keir Starmer’s previous assertions of who can be considered a woman, which has differed from the recent Supreme Court ruling.
Earlier the prime minister said he welcomed the judgment and said public services now needed to ensure their guidance was "in the right place".
