Technology Secretary Peter Kyle has told Sky News the NHS cannot be left "in the analogue age" as he defended allowing a US company to handle British health data.
It comes after the government announced an updated NHS app has prevented 1.5m appointments from being missed.
NHS data is being handled by the US company Palantir, which has been criticised by privacy campaigners.
