Housing minister Matthew Pennycook speaks with Wilfred Frost on Sky News Breakfast to discuss the upcoming planning bill and its potential impact on the UK.
Asked when the UK will feel the effects of this legislation, Mr Pennycook says: "It’s already begun in the sense that in our first eight months in office we’ve undertaken perhaps the biggest overhaul of the planning system in a generation."
The minister emphasised that the bill will be "transformative" for the planning system, describing the reforms as a "sensible evolution" aimed at addressing housing supply and boosting construction, with more changes to follow.
