Missing Pupils: Head teachers should pick up absent pupils from home- Education Secretary

As the number of children missing school hits crisis levels after the pandemic, Education Secretary Gillian Keegan has spoken to Sky News’ people and politics correspondent Nick Martin about what the government is doing to get children back into the classroom.

The Education Secretary has stressed that headteachers “have a duty” to drive to the homes of absent pupils and bring them to school.
