West Midlands police promised there was "no place in policing for misogynistic, discriminatory or disrespectful behaviour" – after they paid out more than £800,000 to firearms officer Rebecca Kalam – who won a sex discrimination case against the force.

Now another former officer in the same unit – who supported Ms Kalam’s case – claims she was faced with sexism and misogyny herself.
Sarah Simpson says the force declined to investigate her allegations about the unit’s culture, despite their pledge to root out toxic behaviour.
