A mother who held a woman captive as a slave inside her "squalid" home for 25 years has been sentenced to 13 years in prison.
Amanda Wixon, 56, forced the woman to shave her hair, beat her if she didn’t complete jobs, and made her live off "scraps" of food.
Police have described it as one of the worst cases of modern-day slavery they have ever seen.
