Mother of 10-year-old Bondi beach attack victim condemns ‘monster’ who killed daughter

The mother of a ten-year-old girl who was one of 15 people killed during a terror attack at a Hanukkah celebration on Bondi Beach has condemned the "monster" who she said targeted her daughter.

Matilda’s mother, Valentina, told ITV News her daughter was "my sunshine" and "full of life", and that when she closed her eyes, she could see her "happily running around, and then she was gone".

Matilda was celebrating the first night of Hanukkah with her parents, six-year-old sister and friends on Sunday when the mass shooting at Bondi Beach occurred. She was taken to hospital, but died of her injuries.
