Mourners pay tribute to “giant of a man” Alex Salmond at private service

Scotland’s former First Minister Alex Salmond has been remembered as a "giant of a man" who "restored pride to the nation" – at his funeral in Aberdeenshire.

Mr Salmond died from a heart attack earlier this month during a trip to a conference in north Macedonia. Today fellow politicians joined his family to pay tribute at a private service.
