MS patients given new hope in world first drug trial

The world’s first mega trial for treating a form of multiple sclerosis is underway.

Researchers hope that Octopus, which is a multi-arm, multi-stage trial for progressive MS will revolutionise the way doctors test treatments.

Those leading the trial say using multiple drugs at once and comparing them with a single control group should make it possible to test treatments up to three times faster.
