Every day, two people in the UK are diagnosed with cancer during pregnancy or within the first year of giving birth. For these new mums, life-saving treatment often replaces a maternity leave intended for rest, recovery, and bonding with their newborns.
The Mummy’s Star charity is calling on MPs to support its campaign urging the UK Government to allow maternity leave to be deferred until after cancer treatment.
