Myanmar earthquake: week of mourning as death toll passes 2,000

The military government in Myanmar has said that more than 2,000 people were killed by Friday’s earthquakes and 4,000 injured, and it has declared a week of national mourning.

Meanwhile, Chinese rescuers have saved another six people from collapsed buildings in Myanmar but the chances of finding more survivors are rapidly dwindling.
