National prostate cancer screening programme would 'cause more harm than good'

Government advisers have confirmed that they are not recommending a national NHS screening programme for prostate cancer.

In a draft recommendation, the UK National Screening Committee (UKNSC) said screening "is likely to cause more harm than good".

Professor Sir Mike Richards, chair of the national screening committee, explained the decision to Sky’s Thomas Moore.
