NATO members are to hold an emergency meeting with Ukraine next week, after Russia attacked the eastern city of Dnipro with a new type of mid-range missile. Yesterday’s strike was initially thought to be an intercontental ballistic missile, but the US now believes it was an experimental weapon equipped to carry conventional and nuclear warheads.
