Nepal’s first female PM sworn in after deadly protests

Nepal’s new prime minister has called for calm and co-operation after days of violent protests that are now known to have left at least 72 people dead.

Sushila Karki, a former Chief Justice known for her tough stance on corruption, has become Nepal’s first woman Prime Minister with the backing of some of the protest leaders.
