The emirate of Ras al-Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates welcomes the new year with a “record-breaking fireworks and drone display,” including an official attempt to set a new Guinness World Record for the “largest aerial fireworks shell.”
Measuring 66 inches in diameter, the 2-ton shell is set to be the largest single firework ever launched, expanding across one kilometre when it bursts in the sky, according to organizers.
