News update: 90,000 displaced in Lebanon, Thailand marriage equality and Gove new Spectator editor

The UN says more than 90 thousand people have been displaced in Lebanon since Monday, when Israel stepped up its air strikes on Hezbollah targets.

Thailand’s King has signed a marriage equality bill into law which makes his country the first in South East Asia to recognise same-sex unions.

Former Conservative minister Michael Gove has been appointed the new editor of The Spectator magazine, starting early next month.
