Thousands of NHS workers across England have been issued car parking fines while they’re at work, according to exclusive data obtained by this programme.
Our Fact Check department contacted all trusts with a car park and found more than 25,000 fines were issued.
Health professionals say many of them face penalties despite holding valid parking permits and working under intense pressure and unsociable hours.
While in some cases – the fines have reached hundreds or even thousands of pounds.
