A court decided the former French president Nicolas Sarkozy could be released from jail pending an appeal.
Three weeks ago, Sarkozy started a five-year prison sentence after being convicted on conspiracy of trying to raise funds for his 2007 campaign, from the Libyan dictator General Gaddafi.
Sarkozy has always denied the claims.
