The billionaire property developer Nick Candy is to become the treasurer of Reform UK.
Mr Candy, who is married to the actress and singer Holly Vallance, will take up the role in the New Year, having given up his Conservative membership over what he called too many broken promises.
Our political editor Beth Rigby has been speaking to Mr Candy and Reform UK leader Nigel Farage who says the party was affected by some of their candidates’ offensive rhetoric during the election.
