Undiscovered Second World War bombs and tank shells have been exploding as fire continues to spread across a part of the North Yorkshire Moors – the blaze having now reached an area used as a tank training ground in the 1940s.

Firefighters and farmers are trying to extinguish the flames on acres of peat bog that have been burning for the past fortnight.
People living nearby have been advised to have bags ready in case their homes need to be evacuated.
