James Murray has denied that Diane Abbott has been suspended because senior figures ‘want her out’.
The Exchequer Secretary to the Treasury spoke to Sky News after the veteran MP said that she believes she has lost the Labour whip because "this Labour leadership wants me out".
Murray said, "What’s happened is that she’s made these comments, and she’s been administratively suspended because that is the process the Labour Party has and for all MPs when they’re suspended."
