Tomorrow delegates from Russia and Ukraine are due to hold their first face to face meeting since the war began, as ITV News International Editor Emma Murphy and US Correspondent Dan Rivers reports.
US President Donald Trump has said he doesn’t believe anything is going to happen with regards to peace in Ukraine until "he and I get together".
Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One as he travelled from Doha, Qatar, to Abu Dhabi, United Emirates, on Thursday, he added: “But we’re going to have to get it solved because too many people are dying.”
European leaders, along with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, have met in Turkey to discuss an unconditional 30-day ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia.
Russian President Vladimir Putin didn’t show up in Turkey on Thursday for proposed direct peace talks with Zelenskyy.
