Education watchdog Ofsted has been branded "toxic" and "not fit for purpose" by an inquiry, which claims it needs a major reform after losing the "trust of the teaching profession".
Instead of the rating system, the Beyond Ofsted inquiry says schools could "self-evaluate their progress" and work long-term with an external "school improvement partner".
