Ofsted change is 'vindication', says sister of headteacher Ruth Perry

The government’s decision to change the school inspection system is "vindication" and a "huge relief", says the sister of Ruth Perry.

The headteacher took her own life after Ofsted downgraded her school from "outstanding" to "inadequate".

Julia Waters told Sky News it was a "huge relief" that the new government had "recognised the huge harm done by the previous system".

She said: "It is vindication for what we have been fighting for for months."
