Tens of thousands of people are demonstrating across France, in protest at what they say is under-investment in high schools.
Some protests over the past week in France have turned violent, as protesters and authorities clashed.
French Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu said: "Burning down a high school does not improve the state of high school buildings. Lynching a teacher does not help replace teachers", adding it is a "lie" to suggest the government had ordered "police repression" against demonstrators.
