Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper has warned Israel against retaliating by annexing parts of the West Bank to make a Palestinian state impossible. But Benjamin Netanyahu has declared "there will be no Palestinian state" and has signed settlement extension plans that will divide the West Bank completely.

So how practical is the two-state solution on the ground?
