The Scottish Government has held a crisis meeting with the Met Office, Police Scotland and other organisations as the country braces for fresh weather warnings across the north of Britain tomorrow. They come as the cost of Storm Goretti is still being counted in the South. One fatality was confirmed today, after a caravan was hit by a falling tree. Thousands remain without power, and some without water – a situation that ministers described tonight as ‘unacceptable’.
