German police say one person has been killed and several others injured after a car drove into a crowd of pedestrians in Mannheim.
Armed police are at the scene and a suspect has been arrested.
Security has been a key concern in Germany following a string of violent attacks in recent weeks and months.
There were deadly car rammings in Magdeburg in December and in Munich last month.
