Georgia’s Republican former lieutenant governor drew some of the most enthusiastic applause on night three of the convention while condemning Donald Trump. ‘These days, our party acts more like a cult, a cult worshipping a felonist thug,’ he said. He urged his fellow Republicans to vote for Kamala Harris, saying it would not make them Democrats but patriots. A similar message was made by former homeland security advisor to vice-president Mike Pence, Olivia Troye. ‘Being inside Trump’s White House was terrifying.
